Sustainability and Environment

We believe in the importance of preserving and protecting nature in its fullest sense. From the initial manufacture of our furniture to its final delivery to our customers. At FJAKA we thrive to reach a production cycle that is durable, sustainable, and have as little impact on nature as possible.

The origin of our wood

As well as being important for the environment, wood is renowned for its quality and durability. To create a sustainable production cycle, the wood used in our products comes exclusively from controlled plantations that follow strict reforestation procedures. Therefore, all our products are accredited with the FSC® 100% label. We are FSC® certified under the number SCS-COC-000652 (FSC® C016391). The FSC® 100% label is the world’s most trusted mark for sustainable forestry. Trees are harvested responsibly so there is no net loss of forest over time.

Wood that originally comes from Indonesia is certified with a V-legal certificate. This certificate ensures the protection of the forest from illegal logging.

A greener approach to packaging
We recognize the significance of minimizing our impact on the environment. That is why we have a zero single-use plastic campaign. Our packaging consists of recyclable and biodegradable materials such as paper and cardboard materials.

Reducing toxic substances

Another essential aspect of our journey towards a sustainable production cycle is the integration of water-based paints and coatings in our products. This deliberate choice ensures the exclusion of toxic or environmentally harmful substances.
